President & CEO, EPH University Medical Center of El Paso - 3.8 El Paso, TX Job Details Full-time 13 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication Master's degree Hospital experience Full Job Description Job Summary Responsible for setting the short and long-range strategic priorities and business development activities to achieve the required revenue/financial, marketing and enrollment, operations, care and service goals. Responsible and with direct organizational oversight of Finance, Compliance, Information Services, Health Services, Administration, Facilities Management, and other organization wise support service functions. As a member of the Hospital District Administrative Team, the Chief Executive Officer of El Paso Health works closely with key executives of the El Paso County Hospital District to set and implement goals and objectives that are consistent with the strategic plan of the District as established by the Board of Managers. Works with the El Paso Health Board of Directors and President and Chief Executive Officer of El Paso County Hospital District in the development of the goals and objectives of the health plan and provide executive leadership over health plan operations to ensure the goals are achieved and compliance with all applicable statutes and rules pertaining to the operations of the Health Plan are met. Has direct oversight over Chief Executive Officer - Medicaid, Chief Executive Officer, Medicare, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Information Officer, Chief Compliance Officer Legal Department. Skills 1. Excellent communication, managerial, organizational and analytical skills. 2. Knowledge of major managed care administrative systems coupled with demonstrated capacity to improve business operations with good conceptual, qualitative and problem solving skills. 3. Outstanding listener and facilitator of effective communications with all senior executive management, customers, competitors, government agencies, professional societies and similar groups. 4. Ability to evaluate new opportunities from a financial, technological, marketing, planning and operational perspective. 5. Proven ability to assess strengths and limitations of an organization and to achieve a short and long-term action plan that address and resolve key issues. Work Experience Ten years progressively responsible Healthcare Administration experience, including five years of experience with hospital or health care delivery systems at executive level, i.e. Executive Director, Associate Administrator, Senior Vice President, or other comparable executive position. Experience in operating effectively in an organization with a cross-functional Executive Management team, direct reports, and matrix management. License/Registration/Certification None. Education and Training Master degree in related field required.
