We are looking for a hands-on hospitality leader to guide daily operations and long-term performance for a luxury boutique hotel in California. This role combines operational oversight, financial discipline, and commercial leadership, with a strong focus on guest satisfaction, revenue growth, and team culture. The ideal candidate brings a sharp understanding of how pricing, sales, service standards, and property operations work together to support exceptional results in a high-end lodging environment.

Responsibilities:

Direct day-to-day hotel operations across front office, housekeeping, maintenance, pool areas, and limited breakfast service to ensure a seamless guest experience. Lead financial performance by managing budgets, monitoring forecasts, evaluating key metrics, and identifying opportunities to improve profitability and revenue capture. Shape commercial strategy through active oversight of pricing, inventory, market positioning, group business, and distribution channels rather than relying solely on outside recommendations. Build, coach, and support a service-focused team culture that reflects luxury hospitality standards and encourages accountability, engagement, and continued growth. Maintain a strong on-property presence, stepping into operational needs when necessary and providing leadership during critical business periods, including weekends and holidays. Oversee relationships with vendors, tenants, and local partners to protect service quality and support the overall reputation of the property. Coordinate effectively with the independently operated on-site restaurant on matters that influence shared guest experience, property operations, and lease-related partnership needs. Partner closely with ownership and the designated hospitality representative to align day-to-day execution with broader business goals, brand legacy, and strategic priorities. Support capital planning and property improvement efforts, including renovation or expansion-related projects, while minimizing disruption to hotel operations. Proven leadership experience managing operations within a luxury hotel, boutique inn, or comparable hospitality environment. Strong background in hotel revenue strategy, with the ability to interpret performance data and make informed decisions that drive top-line results. Solid financial acumen, including experience with budgeting, forecasting, expense control, and operational performance analysis. Demonstrated ability to balance guest service excellence with commercial objectives in a highly visible leadership role. Comfortable working in a hands-on capacity and adapting quickly to operational demands across multiple departments. Skilled at building productive relationships with ownership, partners, vendors, and community stakeholders. Experience leading renovation, expansion, or major capital improvement initiatives is strongly preferred. Willingness to maintain a visible on-site presence and work a schedule that supports key business needs, including weekends and holidays.
