Leadership Incentives Position Overview:
The Vision Companies is seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President of Commercial Operations to lead a commercial operations team and drive operational excellence across all commercial projects. This executive leadership role is responsible for mentoring Project Managers, Project Coordinators, and Estimators while ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, profitably, and according to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate is a proven leader with exceptional operational, financial, and relationship-management skills who is passionate about developing people, improving processes, and contributing to the organization's long-term success.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Development Coach, mentor, and develop Commercial Project Managers, Project Coordinators, and Estimators Lead continuing education initiatives and monthly operations meetings Evaluate team performance, identify development opportunities, and create accountability Partner with ownership to recruit, interview, hire, and develop team members Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and professional growth Operational Leadership Support Project Managers in delivering successful and profitable commercial projects Review contracts, project execution, scheduling, customer communication, and financial performance Promote operational consistency and process improvements across all projects Maintain working knowledge of RFMS, Schedule Pro, Measure, and related operating systems Monitor project performance and implement strategies to improve efficiency and profitability Strategic Leadership Participate in company planning, business strategy, and growth initiatives Evaluate opportunities for expansion, investments, and operational improvements Support leadership development and long-term organizational objectives Help strengthen company culture and drive organizational success Customer & Industry Relationships Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, contractors, architects, vendors, and industry partners Resolve customer concerns professionally while protecting long-term business relationships Represent the organization with professionalism and integrity throughout all interactions Leadership Standards Lead with honesty, integrity, and professionalism Lead by example and hold team members accountable through clear expectations and consistent follow-through Approach challenges as opportunities to strengthen customer relationships Put the success of the team and organization ahead of personal recognition Represent the company's commitment to completing work correctly and delivering exceptional service
Qualifications:
Required Proven leadership experience in commercial operations, construction, flooring, or a related industry Strong project management, operational, and financial management experience Experience coaching, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills Strong organizational and strategic-planning abilities Ability to analyze project financials and drive operational improvements Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business management software Valid driver's license and clean driving record Preferred Experience with RFMS, Schedule Pro, Measure, or similar industry software Executive leadership experience overseeing multiple commercial projects Experience leading continuous-improvement initiatives
Working Conditions:
Professional office environment with regular travel to commercial project sites Frequent interaction with customers, contractors, vendors, and internal leadership Fast-paced environment requiring the management of multiple priorities and deadlines Occasional evening or extended hours based on business needs

Ability to travel regularly to project sites Ability to sit, stand, and walk throughout the workday Ability to use computers and office equipment for extended periods Occasional lifting of project materials or equipment up to 25 pounds
