Highlights:
Lead system-level electro-mechanical design efforts, including requirements flow-down, architecture, and physical solutions. Design advanced electro-mechanical actuation, pneumatic actuation, and power transmission products using computer aided engineering and precision machine design skills. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet performance, cost, and manufacturability targets. Engage directly with product managers, customer engineers and program managers to understand and translate customer needs into robust designs. Represent in customer design reviews and program meetings, projecting confidence and credibility. Support Product and Program Managers with technical input to development roadmaps, proposals, reviews, and risk assessments. Provide subsystem proof-of-performance and lessons learned for future opportunities. Develop efficient modular product architectures in a challenging high-mix engineering and manufacturing environment.Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred).
- 5+ years in mechanical engineering with some machine design of industrial automation, aerospace or defense products.
- Strong leadership, critical thinking, optimization and decision-making skills.
- Experience leading system-level architecture and requirements management.
- Strong communication skills with ability to interface confidently with customer technical teams and program leadership.
- High mechanical aptitude with a solid background in computer-aided design and analysis. (SolidWorks and ANSYS preferred)
- Familiarity with regulated/mission-critical industries (defense, aerospace, industrial automation) Visa sponsorship is not authorized for this position now or in the future.
