Job Description

As Contracts Manager, you will play a key role in managing and overseeing KLAS's contract lifecycle, ensuring agreements are structured, compliant, and aligned with organizational risk tolerance. You'll work closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams—including HR, Finance, IT, and Legal—to review, negotiate, and manage contracts, strengthen governance practices, and help the organization operate efficiently and responsibly.
What You'll Do:
Own and manage the contract lifecycle, including drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and maintaining agreements with clients, vendors, and partners Ensure contracts align with legal, regulatory, and organizational requirements, coordinating with outside counsel as needed Identify and mitigate contractual and operational risks, providing guidance to stakeholders on key terms and obligations Partner with HR, Finance, IT, Legal, and leadership to ensure contracts support business objectives and are executed efficiently Develop and maintain contract templates, standards, and processes to improve consistency and scalability Track key contract terms, obligations, and renewal timelines to support proactive decision-making Support broader compliance and governance initiatives, ensuring policies and practices align with contractual commitments Assist with internal reviews, documentation, and reporting related to contracts and associated risk areasExperience:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, or a related field 5+ years of experience in contract management, compliance, legal operations, or a related role Experience reviewing and negotiating contracts, ideally in healthcare, research, or data-driven organizations Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards (data privacy, IP ownership, international experience is a plus)Skills:
Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate contract terms, risks, and business implications Ability to appropriately leverage AI tools that can assist in the contracting process Clear, confident communicator with ability to explain complex contractual concepts in plain language Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple agreements and deadlines Proactive and comfortable working independently while collaborating across teams The salary range for this role starts at $120,000 per year . Final compensation will be determined according to the candidate's relevant experience, skills, and qualifications.
