Job Description

Under limited supervision of the Director of Procurement and Contracts, this position provides a full range of procurement, contracting, and value analysis activities and is responsible for high-risk procurement, contracting, and value analysis activities that significantly impact the hospital enterprise. It serves as a resource to other staff and acts as a mentor/preceptor to Contract Specialists in support of the department. •Experience in public sector Article 5 (Construction) contracting HIGHLY desired•This is a hybrid position.
Annual Salary Range:
$65,686.40 - $96,886.40
Qualifications Education:
Requires a bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field or an equivalent combination of training and progressively responsible experience that will result in the required specialized knowledge and abilities to perform the assigned work.
Experience:
Requires at least five (5) years of experience in procurement or contract management, including experience in the public sector or healthcare system, and demonstrates a thorough understanding of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Requires an in-depth knowledge of the principles and practices of procurement and contracting, including skill in the design and layout of technical documents and contract documents. Must be able to research, read, interpret, and write technical specifications and documentation. Must be able to work within deadlines and be flexible. Must have a working knowledge of the public sector or healthcare organizations and operations, administrative standards, regulations, and practices. Requires strong business, analytical, planning, organizational and conceptual skills. Requires the ability to simultaneously address multiple projects, demands, and issues, as well as the ability to solve problems and make decisions. Must be able to establish and maintain working relationships with co-workers (supervisory/oversight), vendors, and customers. Must have strong leadership skills and be a proactive starter. Must have a strong skill level in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other business applications. Skill in interpreting legal clauses and provisions is required. Must have the ability to exercise sound judgment and decision-making. Requires the ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.
