Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our team. As a Dispatcher, you will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling the transportation of goods and materials. Your role will involve analyzing logistics data, managing transportation systems, and ensuring efficient delivery processes.Duties:
- Coordinate and schedule the transportation of goods and materials
- Analyze logistics data to optimize delivery routes and schedules
- Utilize transportation management systems such as Blue Ink Tech
- Collaborate with 3PL providers to ensure timely and accurate delivery
- Communicate with drivers to provide instructions and updates on delivery assignments
- Monitor shipments to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any issues or delays
- Maintain accurate records of transportation activities, including data entry into Microsoft Excel
- Coordinate with shipping and receiving departments to ensure smooth operations
- Utilize GPS technology to track vehicles and monitor their progress
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving complaints
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of logistics principles and practices
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions regarding transportation routes and schedules
- Proficiency in using transportation management systems
- Familiarity with 3PL operations and processes
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Proficiency in data entry using microsoft
- Familiarity with GPS technology for tracking vehicles
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, has strong analytical skills, and thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment.
