We have been in business for over 40 years and continue to grow each year. We always hold true to our motto, Quality Products, Exceptional Service. We are seeking a Dispatcher to join our team who will be responsible for coordinating deliveries of materials, supplies, and services in a timely and efficient manner that prioritizes customer satisfaction while adhering to established safety standards.
Supervisory and Management duties:
Typically, 5-20 subordinates including Delivery Drivers Supervisory tasks involved:
Directing Training Essential Functions:
Monitor personnel or equipment locations and utilization to coordinate service and schedules. Schedule or dispatch delivery vehicles to appropriate locations, according to customer requests, specifications, or needs. Oversee all communications within specifically assigned territories. Relay work orders, messages, or information between delivery drivers, supervisors, sales team, or customers. Confer with customers or supervising personnel to address questions, problems, delivery instructions, or requests for service or equipment. Prepare daily work and run schedules. Record and maintain files or records of customer requests, work or services performed, charges, expenses, inventory, or other dispatch information. Receive or prepare work orders. Determine types or amounts of equipment, vehicles, materials, or personnel required, according to work orders or specifications. Advise personnel about traffic problems, such as construction areas, accidents, congestion, weather conditions, or other hazards. Arrange for, and dispatch, roadside assistance and/or repairs to company vehicles. Arrange for necessary repairs to restore service and schedules. Ensure timely and efficient movement of deliveries according to work orders and customer specifications. Coordinates and trains drivers according to and in compliance with DOT regulations and company rules. Provide updates to customers on delivery status. Order supplies or equipment and issue them to personnel. Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
