Job Description

The Recreational Water Slide Dispatcher is responsible for ensuring the safe and enjoyable operation of the District's water slide. This position monitors guest compliance with safety rules, assists guests entering and exiting the attraction, maintains a clean work area, and responds promptly to emergencies or operational issues in accordance with District standards, safety practices and operational procedures. The ideal candidate is attentive, customer-focused, and committed to providing a safe, positive experience for all guests.1. Monitor water slide operations to ensure safe and efficient use 2. Enforce all water slide safety rules, height requirements, and operating procedures 3. Instruct guests on proper riding techniques and safety expectations 4. Control rider dispatch intervals to maintain safe spacing between guests 5. Observe riders throughout the attraction and respond appropriately to unsafe behavior or emergencies 6. Perform routine inspections of the slide area and report maintenance or safety concerns immediately 7. Maintain cleanliness of the water slide, queue lines, and surrounding work area 8. Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding operational issues 9. Provide excellent customer service by answering guest questions and addressing concerns professionally 10. Participate in emergency response procedures and first aid or rescue situations as trained 11. Enforce all safety regulations and stay current with pool rules and procedures 12. Cleaning as needed
  • Previous experience in customer service preferred
  • Ability to follow written and verbal safety procedures
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain alert and attentive for extended periods
  • CPR for Professional Rescuer, First Aid, and AED certification preferred or obtained within first two months of employment
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Must be at least 18 years of ageRequired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to work safely in aquatic environments
  • Ensure patron safety at all times
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team and follow verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and the public
  • Reliably show up on time and ready to work for all scheduled shifts
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism

Work is performed in indoor or recreational aquatic facility. Hours include evenings, weekends, and holiday hours.   • Regularly stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to climb stairs and respond quickly during emergency situations
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds
  • Ability to work indoors in varying weather conditions, including heat and humidity
  • Work involves exposure to noise and wet surfaces
  • Cleaning duties may require standing, stooping, bending to pick up trash and debris, and the use of cleaning tools and chemicals. Employees performing work involving exposure to hazardous materials (e.g., chemicals) will be trained and provided appropriate PPE before completing tasks
