This position is based within Jefferson Regional Facilities DepartmentIn this unique setting, daily interactions with a diverse clientele, including hospital staff, physicians, and visitors, are expected.

Job Summary:

Under the direct supervision of the master plumber, the plumbing assistant supports the Facilities Department with the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of plumbing systems throughout the hospital. This role involves ensuring that water supply, drainage, and other plumbing systems operate efficiently and comply with health and safety regulations.

Plumbing Assistant Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent.

This position is a Safety Sensitive Position.

Minimum Requirements:

Ability to use basic hand tools safelyAbility to follow written and verbal instructionsAbility to work effectively with supervisors, coworkers, hospital staff, and contractorsExcellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Requirements:

Previous plumbing, maintenance, construction, mechanical, or facilities experienceBasic knowledge of plumbing systems, tools, and materials.
