Jefferson Regional CV Prep & Recovery DepartmentJob Summary:

The Cardiovascular Prep and Recovery Unit Registered Nurse is responsible for the care of patients before and after Cardiac Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology procedures. This includes patient preparation, assessments, recovery, education, and collaboration with the procedural teams to ensure a smooth and safe pre and post process.



CV Prep & Recovery

RN Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent required. Technical Diploma in Nursing required. Associate or Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred. Graduate from an accredited school of nursing program. Current Arkansas Registered Nurse Licensure.



BLS/CPR required upon hire or prior to patient care.



ACLS required within 1 year of hire. This is a safety sensitive position.

•Minimum requirements:


Strong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work under pressure and manage patients in a fast paced environmentStrong knowledge in electronic documentation systemAbility to remain calm and focused under pressure, with excellent critical thinking and decision making skillsBasic proficiency in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care.



Adequate verbal and written communication skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare teamsBasic flexibility to adapt to changes in patient conditions and unit prioritiesPreferred requirements:



Previous experience in surgical nursing, pre-operative care or other related field a plusMinimum of 1-2 years of experience in nursingKnowledge of preoperative procedures, medications, and patient safety protocols.



Proficiency in electronic documentation systems
