Duties Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on facilities equipment including HVAC systems, electrical panels, plumbing systems, and mechanical devices. Repair and troubleshoot electrical equipment using schematics, ohmmeters, and other hand tools to diagnose issues accurately. Conduct HVAC system repairs to ensure optimal climate control within the facility. Carry out plumbing maintenance and repairs, including pipe repairs, leak detection, and system troubleshooting. Utilize welding skills for metal fabrication or repair tasks as needed. Execute carpentry tasks such as building interior fixtures or repairing walls to maintain the facility's aesthetic standards. Maintain building interior surfaces through painting and touch-ups to uphold a professional appearance. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to facilitate complex repairs. Lead small teams or assist contractors during major maintenance projects when necessary. Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections for compliance and future planning. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in facilities equipment maintenance. Proficiency in electrical work including repair of electrical systems and understanding of electrical schematics. Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in building automation systems. Skilled in plumbing system maintenance and repair techniques. Knowledge of HVAC systems including troubleshooting, repair, and routine servicing. Ability to operate hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, drills, along with specialized tools like ohmmeters. Experience with welding techniques for metal fabrication or repairs. Familiarity with maintenance painting for building interiors to ensure a clean appearance. Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members and vendors. Leadership qualities to guide junior technicians or coordinate with external contractors during complex projects. Mechanical aptitude complemented by the ability to read schematics accurately. Basic understanding of building interior maintenance standards and safety protocols in facilities management.
