daysII. SUMMARY OF POSITION'S PURPOSE
Serves as the on site Facility Manager and provides basic supervisory oversight to the Custodian position to ensure that school premises are properly maintained and secured.III. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION
- High School Diploma or its equivalent.
EXPERIENCE
- 1 year of Custodian experience. SKILLS
- Excellent knowledge of tools and skills related to building maintenance.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Must be capable of lifting 25 or more pounds on a daily basis.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs various custodial related administrative accountabilities including, but not limited to, determining the requirements of the job (design, time and material acquisition,) purchasing materials and setting up the jobsite to include interaction with principals, teachers, janitors and contractors. Provides basic supervisory oversight to the Custodian position(s). Participates in the cleaning process to the extent necessary to maintain the facility. The level of the Facility Manger's participation in the cleaning process shall be set by the School Principal in line with the needs of each facility. The Facility manager is expected to assist with cleaning when subordinate custodians are not at work due to vacation or other leave. Orders cleaning supplies. Provides oversight of routine maintenance to include changing air conditioning filters, changing light bulbs, and handling touch-up paint jobs. Campus Key Control- Maintain the campus key system and manage the key sign out process to ensure complete control of access to the campus. Locks and unlocks school buildings as required. Assists the principal, assistant principal and teachers with routine maintenance and delivery tasks. Energy Management
- Participate in required software training and function as the primary onsite operator of the Energy Management System. (Computer scheduling of the run times for the Facility Heating and air conditioning system) Pest Control
- Maintain Pest management Records for the campus and participate in the pest management plan as the onsite liaison between the APSB Maintenance Department and Pest Control Vendors.
- Onsite Representative for Fire Alarm and Security Monitoring Company. Accept system trouble calls (including after hours) and provide campus access as needed. Primary On-Site Operator of the School Dude Work Order System
- Enter work order requests for all existing facility components when service or replacement is needed.
