Head Coach & Assistant Manager (Basketball Training Facility) 11160 Hudson Boulevard North, Lake Elmo, MN 55042 $45,000

  • Full-time SUMMARY This position assists the manager in the overall success & growth of the facility.
The assistant manager will also perform as the acting manager when the manager is not present (or as delegated). The goal of this position is to be the manager's right-hand person & provide the necessary support for the facility to be successful. The assistant manager will be primarily responsible for our in-facility experience for our members and their families. This includes general customer service, coaching our members, running personal training, and running camps. It also includes the maintenance and cleanliness of the facility. Lastly, it involves community outreach and sales. The assistant manager would need to be comfortable out in community interacting with prospective members and parents at basketball games and tournaments as well as heads of youth organizations and local head coaches. The assistant manager has to be comfortable running new potential members through their first workout and afterwards sitting down and providing a skills evaluation for the athlete and their parents before making the pitch for them to sign up as members.

Assist the General Manager in the success & growth of the facility Fill in for General Manager as needed Perform duties as the right-hand to the General Manager to support the success of the facility

Basketball coaching or training experience H.S diploma
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Significant basketball coaching experience Significant basketball playing experience Personal training experience Sales experience Management experience Experience running your own business
GED LANGUAGE SKILLS
Excellent written and verbal skills
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
There could be standing for a long period of time (up to 3 hours) There could be sitting at a computer for a long period of time (up to 3 hours) Ability to move equipment in the form of pushing on wheels, of up to 30 pounds Ability to climb a ladder Ability to replace cables if necessary Ability to run, job, walk, bend, climb, and stand in place

SALARY AND BENEFITS
The position comes with a base salary and monthly bonuses as well as commissions for signing up new members and for running personal training. The expected total salary including base, bonuses, and commissions for the position is between $45,000
