Come join our team in the Facilities and Operations Department at Sullivan County! We are looking for an energetic, conscientious, and detail-oriented person who enjoys making a difference and takes pride in his or her work. A Facilities Technician is skilled trades position responsible for the physical maintenance and repairs of the County's buildings and equipment. It's an exciting time to join our team as the County in in the middle of a $75M renovation project that will modernize one of our facilities. Examples of Duties Facilities Technician responsibilities include, but are not limited to:- Physical maintenance and repairs of buildings and equipment including day-to-day maintenance, repairs, and improvement projects.
- Variety of skilled tasks, such as carpentry, flooring replacement, ceiling replacement, and painting, to maintain buildings.
- Maintenance and repair of doors and locksets.
- Perform snow removal and light landscaping work.
- Assemble, move, and repair: furniture, furnishings, and equipment. Setup and break down for various County functions.
- Assist other Facilities staff, including licensed team members, in completing work.
