Position Scope The Facilities Contracts Specialist is responsible for ensuring the effective, safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operations of health system mechanical and electrical systems and equipment through the efficient management of maintenance contracts. This position has process oversight of monitoring, assessing and supporting contracted service functions. This position will document, make recommendations, offer guidance, communicate matters relating to contracted service functions, and follow established contract-related processes. The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is committed to enhancing the quality of care provided to patients. Operations of the Medical Center are ongoing 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This position may respond to emergency situations, such as electrical and mechanical system outages, and may assist with the evaluation of and correction of problems. Position Summary The Facilities Contracts Specialist manages assigned facility maintenance contracts including those that support effective and efficient operation of the health system mechanical and electrical systems. This position is also responsible for ensuring that contractors adhere to medical center management plans and processes; scheduling preventive maintenance, repairs, and project work; ensuring work is completed within contract requirements, regulatory codes, budget, and performance standards; maintaining documentation and records to comply with regulatory requirements; conducting contractor training and quality inspections; assisting with procurement strategies for services and supplies; and tracking and reporting contract KPI metrics.MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 2 years of relevant experience required. 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred.
