Summary:

As a key member of the management team, the Facility Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing warehouse operations, including daily shipping, and receiving, inbound and outbound logistics, inventory management, facility safety and maintenance, and overall financial performance. This will be in one of our new facilities with a staff of approximately 12 Full time plus temporary associates.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

This hands-on leader is responsible for the direction of team members in the proper receiving, inventory management, storage, and shipping of products. Responsible for meeting or exceeding established productivity, labor, and quality objectives. Directs employees to maintain proper cleanliness, safety conditions and compliance with policies and defined methods. Must ensure proper orientation and training for team members, observe employee activities, and provide feedback with positive reinforcement on work methods, work quality, productivity, and attitude. Must appropriately handle employee questions, concerns, and follow-up on issues with the intent to maintain a positive work environment. Actively develops and promotes open lines of communication to maintain and develop positive employee relations; encourages employee involvement in the business; appropriately recognizes employees for their accomplishments and ideas.

Oversee efficient operations of facility 4. Develops, implements, and monitors standard operation procedure for distribution and transportation. 5. Monitors employee's productivity/quality in accordance with the standards developed by the operations group 6. Develops and implements action plans (ex. facility/equipment improvements) designed to improve employee's productivity/quality 7. Determines distribution and transportation personnel and equipment requirements by evaluating warehouse activities, projected volumes, customer base, and product mixes, in accordance with productivity standards 8. Ensures that Three Way Logistics, OSHA and DOT standards for warehousing, distribution, transportation, and employee safety are met 9. Implements corporate policies and procedures for distribution and transportation security 10. Ensures effective marshalling and integrity of DC inventory. Performs location audits and cycle counts and investigates any issues found from the audit to keep logical inventory system accurate. 11. With the operations group, identifies requirement elements training 12. Has responsibility for the selection and hiring of all candidates for the facility. 13. Directs their activities, evaluates their performance, and approves their merit pay increases. 14. Responsible for the selection, training, and performance management of the staff Education and Experience

• Distribution/operations and transportation experience
• Must have a minimum of 5 years' experience.
• Responsibility to communicate and engage directly with customer representatives.

Education:

BA/BS or equivalent preferred but not required

• Experience with SAP is beneficial but not required.
• Strong oral/written skills both verbally and electronically
• Adept at MS Excel, MS Word
• Must be able to occasionally lift to 50lbs
• Works hours are typically 730-430 but on-call during off periods when incidents arise in the facilityverview: We are seeking a skilled Facilities Manager to oversee the maintenance and operation of our facilities.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in managing building systems, supervising staff, and ensuring the safety and functionality of our facility.

Duties:

• Develop and implement maintenance procedures, including preventive maintenance schedules
• Supervise maintenance staff and external contractors
• Oversee repairs, renovations, and installations to ensure compliance with safety regulations
• Manage budgets and expenses related to facility operations
• Maintain inventory of equipment and supplies
• Coordinate with various departments to address facility-related needs

Requirements:

• Proficient in English for effective communication
• Ability to read schematics and blueprints
• Knowledge of HVAC systems and high voltage equipment
• Experience in fabricating and maintaining mechanical systems
• Strong supervisory skills for managing staff effectively
• Familiarity with logic controllers for building automation systems
