What You'll Do The Technician, Lead Maintenance is responsible for performing a wide range of repair tasks as
needed. Under the direction of Facilities management, responsible for keeping the facility safe
and functional, at all times and repairing any problems when discovered, as well as routine
preventative maintenance as directed. Reporting any health, and safety compliance
requirements of the facility.
Essential Duties:
- Possess a working knowledge of requirements for the maintenance of all utilities including plumbing, HVAC systems, electrical, backup generators, and ground maintenance.
- Complete Health and Safety binder requirements, including daily and weekly sign off logs.
- Responsible to train all Facilities and Maintenance Technicians on day-to-day functions for routine and preventative maintenance.
- Coordinate preventative facilities maintenance work and appointments with outside vendors and contractors. Maintain professional relationships with vendors and contractors.
- Conduct periodic facility wide walk-through and documentation of all repairs necessary to maintain environment and ensure port Healthcare standards are met.
- Conduct periodic water temperature checks and recordings.
- Conduct periodic sprinkler system pressure/water level recordings.
- Perform new equipment installations, assist with facility upgrades.
- Perform emergency repairs to prevent and resolve health and safety issues.
- Ensure all work is completed in a timely manner, limiting disturbance to programming and staff, and meets port Healthcare standards.
- During inclement weather, ensure facility walkways, entrances, grounds are clear and safely passable.
- Prioritize and complete tasks by importance of health and safety compliance standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Great Fit Education and Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of two (2) plus years of experience in facilities maintenance.
- One (1) year of experience as a Lead Maintenance Technician
- Healthcare Facility experience preferred.
