Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to safely operate powered industrial trucks and material-handling equipment. The Forklift Operator will be responsible for loading, unloading, transporting, and positioning materials throughout the facility while following all safety and operational procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Operate gasoline, diesel, electric, or propane-powered forklifts and other industrial trucks. Safely load, unload, move, and position materials, products, and equipment. Operate lifting devices such as elevated platforms, buckets, and other attachments as required. Inspect equipment before use and report any safety or maintenance concerns. Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA requirements. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Assist with warehouse and material-handling activities as needed. Ensure materials are handled carefully to prevent damage. Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required. 1-3 years of previous forklift or material-handling experience. Valid forklift certification preferred or ability to become certified. Ability to safely operate powered industrial equipment. Strong attention to safety and detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
