Job Description
Job Overview Position Summary The Forklift Driver / Warehouse Loader is responsible for the safe handling, storage, movement, and loading of quartz slabs and other stone products within the warehouse. This role is essential to maintaining an organized inventory, receiving inbound shipments, preparing customer orders, and ensuring materials are handled safely and efficiently for customer pickups and deliveries. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, dependable, and committed to providing excellent service while supporting daily warehouse operations. Duties & Responsibilities Safely operate forklifts, overhead cranes, boom lifts, and other material handling equipment in accordance with company safety policies. Receive, unload, inspect, and store incoming shipments of quartz slabs and related materials. Load customer orders and outbound deliveries while ensuring all products are properly secured to prevent damage during transport. Move slabs and materials throughout the warehouse to maintain organization and maximize storage efficiency. Inspect incoming shipments for damage and verify quantities against purchase orders, bills of lading, and other shipping documents. Stage materials for customer pickups and scheduled deliveries. Assist with inventory management, cycle counts, and accurate material tracking. Perform daily inspections of forklifts and warehouse equipment and promptly report maintenance or safety concerns. Maintain clean, organized, and safe warehouse, yard, and storage areas. Follow all OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and proper material handling procedures. Assist warehouse personnel with general warehouse duties as needed. Ensure quartz slabs are properly identified, labeled, stored, and organized. Complete shipping, receiving, inventory, and delivery documentation accurately and in a timely manner. Assist customers and delivery drivers with loading while maintaining safe loading practices. Report damaged materials, inventory discrepancies, equipment issues, or safety hazards to management immediately. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED preferred. Current forklift certification required. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required. Minimum one (1) year of forklift operating experience in a warehouse, distribution, building materials, or stone industry preferred. Experience handling quartz slabs, granite, marble, porcelain, glass, or other large-format building materials preferred. Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) preferred. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety and quality. Reliable work ethic with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication and organizational skills. Physical Requirements Frequently lift, push, pull, and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Stand, walk, bend, reach, climb, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday. Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Safely handle large, heavy quartz slabs and other building materials.
