Job Description

Overview We are seeking a skilled Sit Down and Stand Up Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating heavy equipment, particularly clamp trucks and forklifts, and possess a strong understanding of warehouse distribution, shipping and receiving, and materials handling. This role is essential for efficient order picking, loading, unloading, and maintaining safety standards in a fast-paced environment. Prior warehouse management system experience and OSHA compliance knowledge are highly valued to ensure safe and effective operations. Responsibilities Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse Perform order picking using RF scanners and warehouse management systems to fulfill customer orders accurately Handle shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring proper documentation and inventory control Assist with materials handling tasks such as stacking, organizing, and storing goods safely Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure mechanical safety and report any issues promptly Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with OSHA standards Support warehouse supervision in managing daily operations and adhering to safety protocols Participate in inventory counts and cycle counts as needed Utilize crane or construction equipment knowledge for specialized lifting or movement tasks when required Qualifications Proven experience operating forklifts, order pickers, and other heavy equipment within a warehouse or distribution center Strong understanding of warehouse operations including shipping & receiving, order picking, and materials handling processes Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting Familiarity with OSHA safety standards for warehouse operations Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners for inventory control Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment Warehouse or construction background preferred; warehouse supervisor experience is a plus Valid certification for forklift operation (if applicable) is required or must be obtained prior to employment Excellent attention to detail, safety consciousness, and ability to work independently or as part of a team

$17.00 - $18.00 per hour
