Operator Job Description Join our team as a Forklift/Material Handler in a large warehouse environment. Utilize your skills in operating sit-down forklifts to efficiently handle materials and ensure smooth operations. Responsibilities Operate sit-down forklifts to transport materials from the unloading dock to the installation area. Handle heavy, crated, and palletized materials with care and precision. Load pallets onto trucks efficiently and safely. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Perform general labor tasks including packing, unloading, and shipping. Essential Skills Previous experience operating forklifts, particularly sit-down forklifts. Proficiency in material handling and loading techniques. Ability to lift heavy materials and demonstrate physical aptitude. Additional Skills & Qualifications Mechanical aptitude for handling various material handling tasks. Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment. Strong attendance record and reliability. Work Environment Work in a non-climate controlled 500,000 square foot warehouse. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hartford, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
