This role is vital in ensuring the efficient movement, storage, and management of materials within our distribution center. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in operating various types of forklifts, including reach trucks, cherry pickers, and Hi-Lo forklifts, while adhering to strict safety standards. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to seamless warehouse operations, supporting inventory accuracy and timely order fulfillment. Duties Safely operate stand-up forklifts, including reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, and Hi-Lo forklifts, following all OSHA and company safety protocols. Load and unload materials from trucks using appropriate equipment such as pallet jacks and forklift attachments. Pick, pack, and prepare orders accurately utilizing barcode scanning systems and warehouse management systems. Manage inventory levels by conducting regular stock counts and updating records within warehouse management software. Assist with shipping and receiving processes by verifying shipments against documentation and ensuring proper storage. Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment to ensure optimal operation. Follow manual handling procedures for heavy lifting tasks to prevent injuries and maintain safety standards in production. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize storage solutions and improve workflow processes. Qualifications Proven experience operating stand-up forklifts such as reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, or Hi-Lo forklifts within a warehouse setting. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanning for logistics, and inventory management practices. Knowledge of forklift safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and heavy equipment operation standards. Ability to perform basic math calculations related to weights, measurements, and inventory counts. Strong understanding of materials handling techniques including manual handling and heavy lifting procedures. Experience with shipping & receiving processes and materials handling equipment operation. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in warehouse management or supervision is a plus but not required. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of our warehouse operations.
