Plastipak Packaging, Inc. is hiring a Forklift Operator for our night shift manufacturing operations. In this role, you safely operate forklifts to move raw materials, finished goods, and recycling materials throughout the plant. You will load and unload trailers, supply production lines, and maintain accurate inventory and documentation using scanners or basic computer systems. You will complete pre shift equipment inspections, follow strict safety and quality procedures, and support housekeeping standards. Responsibilities Safely operate forklifts to move raw materials, packaging, and finished goods Load and unload trailers and stage materials for shipping and receiving Supply production lines with required materials and remove finished product Perform pre-shift inspections and basic forklift maintenance checks Follow all plant safety, quality, and housekeeping standards Use scanners or basic computer systems to track inventory and material moves Accurately complete shipping, receiving, and inventory documentation Report equipment issues, safety concerns, or quality problems promptly Work collaboratively with production, warehouse, and maintenance teams Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives Required Skills Forklift operation Warehouse operations Material handling Shipping and receiving Inventory control Palletizing and staging Basic equipment inspection RF scanner or barcode systems Basic computer skills Knowledge of safety and OSHA guidelines
