Plastipak Packaging, Inc. is seeking a Quality Technician to support production of high-quality rigid plastic packaging. In this manufacturing role, you will perform in-process and final product inspections, conduct dimensional and visual checks, and complete lab testing on PET and HDPE containers. You will interpret specifications, use measurement tools, document results, and help investigate nonconformances. The Quality Technician supports root cause analysis, implements corrective actions, and partners with operations to improve processes, ensuring safety, sustainability, and customer standards are consistently met in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Perform in-process and final inspections on plastic packaging products Conduct dimensional, visual, and functional tests using lab equipment Interpret quality specifications, control plans, and work instructions Document inspection and test results accurately in quality systems Identify, record, and help contain nonconforming materials Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions Calibrate and properly use measurement tools and gauges Collaborate with production to resolve quality issues in real time Follow safety, GMP, and ISO/food safety requirements Participate in continuous improvement and 5 S activities Required Skills Quality inspection Dimensional measurement Use of gauges and calipers Statistical process control (SPC) Reading technical drawings/specifications Nonconformance reporting Root cause analysis Corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) ISO/quality system documentation Data entry and basic computer skills
