Job Description
Overview We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team for the October to February season. Position requires use of sit down and stand-up forklifts to move, load, unload, and stage finished goods, components, and other inventory throughout the facility. The position supports the efficient flow of materials between warehouse, production, receiving, and shipping areas while maintaining a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and prevention of product or equipment damage.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Adheres to all company safety requirements and PPE standards; actively participates in required programs such as ergonomic evaluations and daily stretch breaks.
- Completes required daily/pre-shift equipment inspections and immediately reports defects or unsafe conditions.
- Loads and unloads trucks, trailers, and delivery vehicles by operating equipment at safe speeds, using required safety devices; maintaining proper load stability.
- Moves raw materials, components, finished goods, pallets, and other inventory between warehouse, production, receiving, shipping, and staging areas.
- Removes finished product, empty containers, scrap, and other materials to maintain production flow.
- Stages materials and finished goods in designated locations for shipment or storage.
- Places and retrieves palletized materials from designated storage locations.
- Verifies product, quantities, labels, and storage locations before moving material.
- Keeps aisles, docks, staging areas, and storage locations orderly and free of avoidable obstructions.
- Assists in cycle counts
- Works cooperatively with coworkers
- Meets attendance expectations - Performs other material-handling duties as assigned Education High School Diploma or GED Experience 6 months related experience
