About the Role Modular Manufacturing is looking for a dependable and safety-focused Forklift Operator / Container Mover to help keep our growing manufacturing operation moving. This is a hands-on position responsible for safely moving shipping containers and materials, supporting production line movement, organizing the container yard, and helping keep our facility and outside areas clean and organized. You'll work with multiple departments to make sure containers, materials, and finished units are where they need to be when they need to be there. The right person is comfortable operating a forklift around large steel containers, can work independently without constant direction, and understands that safe and timely movement is an important part of keeping production on schedule. Primary Responsibilities Safely operate forklifts and other equipment to move shipping containers and materials Move containers indoors and outdoors and position them according to production needs Keep production lines supplied and moving according to the production schedule Coordinate with departments to determine where containers and materials need to go Bring new containers into production when needed Remove finished containers and units from production areas Load, unload, stage, and position containers, materials, and deliveries Organize and maintain the outside container yard and inventory layout Verify container locations and help maintain accurate yard organization Inspect incoming containers and identify damage or concerns Perform daily forklift inspections before operating equipment Maintain forklifts and equipment through cleaning, detailing, fluid checks, greasing, and basic upkeep Assist with forklift and equipment painting or touch-up as needed Report equipment damage, maintenance needs, unsafe conditions, and other concerns Maintain clean and organized yard, parking lot, loading, and work areas Remove trash and debris and assist with general yard upkeep Spray weeds and assist with maintaining the outside lot as needed Recognize production needs and take initiative to address them without constant direction Support other departments and production activities as needed Why Modular Manufacturing Play a key role in keeping production moving every day Work with shipping containers, forklifts, and large equipment Work across multiple departments and become an important part of the production team Develop experience in manufacturing, material handling, logistics, and yard operations Opportunities to learn new equipment, processes, and responsibilities as the company grows Join a growing company where dependable, safety-focused employees can make a real impact Be part of a team that values safety, quality, productivity, and accountability Built Right.
