Job Purpose The Forklift & Street Sweeper Operator supports SiteLine Services' field operations by safely operating forklifts and street-sweeping equipment to maintain clean, organized, and efficient job sites and yard areas. This is an entry-level position ideal for an individual who is dependable, safety-conscious, and willing to learn. Prior equipment-operating experience is not required; SiteLine will provide necessary training. Duties and Responsibilities Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Equipment Operation Safely operate a forklift to load, unload, transport, and position materials and equipment throughout job sites and yard areas. Safely operate street-sweeping equipment along assigned routes, job sites, and yard areas while following established traffic patterns and safety procedures. Perform pre-operation and post-operation inspections to confirm equipment is safe and ready for use. Follow all posted site rules, traffic patterns, signage, and company procedures while operating equipment. Operate equipment responsibly and in accordance with company safety requirements and training. Promptly report equipment concerns, unsafe conditions, accidents, or damage to a supervisor. Basic Equipment Care Perform routine basic equipment checks, including fluid levels, tire condition, lights, and other visible components. Keep assigned equipment reasonably clean and in good operating condition. Report mechanical issues, damage, or needed repairs promptly. Maintain accurate daily equipment-use logs, inspection records, or other documentation as required. Safety Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and job-site requirements at all times. Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE). Maintain awareness of pedestrians, vehicles, equipment, and other potential hazards while working. Report safety concerns, near-misses, incidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to a supervisor immediately. Participate in required safety meetings, training, and equipment instruction. Complete required forklift and equipment training and demonstrate safe operation before independently operating company equipment. General Responsibilities Maintain reliable and punctual attendance. Work cooperatively with supervisors, coworkers, and other personnel on job sites. Assist with general job-site or yard duties as needed. Maintain company equipment and property in a clean and professional manner. Perform other duties as assigned. Physical Requirements Sit for extended periods while operating equipment. Frequently enter and exit equipment throughout the workday. Stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and climb as needed to perform job duties. Occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds. Safely navigate uneven terrain and active job-site or yard environments. Work safely around moving vehicles and heavy equipment.

Qualifications Qualifications include:

Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. No prior forklift, street sweeper, or equipment-operating experience required; on-the-job training will be provided. Prior forklift, street sweeper, construction, warehouse, or equipment-operating experience is a plus. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and established safety procedures. Willingness and ability to learn the safe operation of company equipment. Basic mechanical aptitude is helpful but not required. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Dependable, safety-conscious, and willing to take direction. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and job-site conditions.

Working Conditions Conditions may include:

Work is primarily performed outdoors and may involve exposure to heat, cold, precipitation, dust, dirt, noise, and vehicle or equipment traffic. Work may be performed on active construction sites, industrial sites, yards, roadways, or other field locations. May require early morning, evening, or occasional weekend hours depending on operational needs and job-site schedules. Extended periods of sitting may be required while operating equipment. Work may involve uneven terrain, changing weather conditions, and proximity to moving vehicles and heavy equipment. Required personal protective equipment must be worn as designated by SiteLine Services and applicable job-site requirements.

Pay:

$15.00 - $18.00 per hour
