Grapevine, TX Job Details Full-time $17 - $20 an hour 2 hours ago Qualifications Lifting equipment Forklift Material handling equipment operation Full Job Description Position Summary The Forklift Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently operating a forklift and other material-handling equipment to move, load, unload, stage, and organize freight within the warehouse. This role supports daily warehouse operations by ensuring freight and materials are handled accurately, safely, and efficiently while maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Key Responsibilities Safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment in accordance with company safety procedures and applicable requirements. Load, unload, move, stage, and organize freight and materials throughout the warehouse. Verify freight and materials are handled accurately and placed in the appropriate locations. Inspect forklift and material-handling equipment before use and report safety concerns, damage, or maintenance issues. Follow warehouse procedures for receiving, staging, loading, unloading, and inventory movement. Maintain awareness of pedestrians, equipment, dock areas, racks, trailers, and other potential workplace hazards. Assist with maintaining an organized, clean, and safe warehouse environment. Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding freight, equipment, safety concerns, and operational needs. Follow all company policies and safety procedures, including proper use of required personal protective equipment. Perform other incidental and related duties as required. Essential Skills/Experience Previous forklift or warehouse equipment operation experience preferred. Ability to safely operate a forklift in a warehouse environment. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Reliable attendance and strong work ethic. Ability to work safely and professionally with frequent interruptions and changing priorities. Working Conditions Fast-paced warehouse environment with frequent movement of freight and equipment. Requires standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting for extended periods. Requires the ability to safely operate a forklift and other warehouse equipment. Requires normal (corrected) vision and hearing. Requires ability to lift and move materials consistent with the physical requirements of the position. May require work around moving equipment, loading docks, trailers, and varying warehouse temperatures. Requires ability to work effectively with frequent interruptions. Minimal travel.
Education / Licensing
Requirements High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Forklift certification or successful completion of company forklift training required before operating equipment independently.
