Receiving Forklift Operator

CLASSIFICATION

Full-Time/Temporary REPORTS To:

Reception Supervisor

NARRATIVE

Assists in fruit storage by safely and efficiently operating a forklift. Empty bin and full bin stacking truck loading and unloading. Is always kept busy by maintaining grounds as required.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - OPERATIONAL

Check forklift operating functions before operating (water, oil, brakes, etc.) Corrects problems or reports them to the supervisor. Ensures proper storage of fruit in controlled atmosphere rooms. Operates a forklift efficiently and safely so as not to cause harm to people, pallets, fruit, or facilities. Manually unloads trucks as needed. Assists in other departments as needed. Pressure washing of AC rooms Cleaning and sweeping of AC rooms Understands, follows and complies with the company's security policies.
