Job Description

Help Change Lives in Orleans County Orleans Community Connects is seeking a talented and passionate Grant Writer to help secure funding that supports programs improving the health, well-being, and quality of life of Orleans County residents. This position plays a critical role in expanding OCC's impact by identifying funding opportunities, writing compelling grant proposals, and building relationships with foundations, corporations, and government agencies. Position Responsibilities Research and identify grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government sources. Write, prepare, and submit compelling grant proposals and letters of inquiry. Collaborate with staff to gather program data, stories, budgets, and outcomes. Track grant deadlines, submissions, awards, and reporting requirements. Prepare progress and final reports for funders. Maintain accurate grant records and databases. Develop and strengthen relationships with funders and community partners. Assist in building a diversified funding strategy to support OCC's mission and growth. Qualifications Experience in grant writing, fundraising, nonprofit development, or related fields. Demonstrated track record of securing grant funding preferred. Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Experience developing grant budgets and outcomes-based proposals. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and database management systems. Ability to work independently while collaborating with a small team. Pay:
$30.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 24.0 per week
