Job Description

Overview Join Virginia Housing and help make a difference as an Associate Development Officer This important role has responsibility for commercial/multifamily loan production, with deal assignments consistent with their experience. With the support of the Development team, the associate will evaluate loan requests and make recommendations for financing for a wide array of rental housing projects to further Virginia Housing's mission and strategic priorities. Virginia Housing's rental housing loan program includes new construction, adaptive reuse, acquisition, and substantial renovation projects. Virginia Housing is one of the nation's premier housing finance agencies. To be successful in this role you must possess : Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or Urban Planning or equivalent work experience A few years of real estate experience preferably in the multifamily or commercial area Basic understanding of real estate, finance, and general business acumen A valid Driver's License The ideal candidate would also have direct experience in commercial/multifamily loan underwriting with an emphasis on rent and operating expense analysis in determining loan size. Hiring Range:
$82,000-111,000 A background and motor vehicle check will be performed as a condition of employment.
