General Manager - South San Francisco, CA Bradford Consolidation Logistics (BCL) Full-time Permanent - Great Benefits! Bradford Consolidation Logistics (BCL) offers a tremendous career opportunity in a high-growth environment that combines technology and services within the logistics industry. As the General Manager for BCL, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing a central receiving and storage center, loading dock operations, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring seamless logistics functions. Lead a dedicated team of Operations Managers and Logistics Technicians, working collaboratively to enhance warehouse efficiency, customer service, and overall performance. Your proactive leadership will be instrumental in achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) and upholding BCL's core values, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation within the logistics industry. We are seeking motivated professionals passionate about logistics, supply chain operations, warehouse management, and distribution services. To thrive as a General Manager, you should have these qualifications: Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university or a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role in logistics, warehouse operations, or a directly related industry. Minimum of 5 years' experience in teammate and team management, including hiring, teammate development, coaching, and performance improvement. Strong leadership, strategic thinking, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and analytical skills. Strong written and oral presentation skills, especially when interacting with executives and stakeholders using PowerPoint and other media. Proficiency in utilizing data for quantitative analysis, root cause analysis, and developing and executing action plans to achieve short- and long-term objectives. Proficiency in word processing, email, database, internet software, and other technology tools, with strong business intelligence, research, and strategy skills. Ability to directly supervise Operations Managers and warehouse teams, occasionally lift up to 50 pounds, maintain a safe driving record, pass background checks, and be open to relocation based on contract awards or business expansion. Your responsibilities as a General Manager will include: Implement company goals, objectives, policies, procedures, and process improvements to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement. Ensure warehouse teams are fully trained, professional, self-motivated, client-focused, and compliant with all security, safety, and company requirements. Collaborate closely with clients and stakeholders to uphold BCL's performance standards, resolve issues efficiently, and cultivate strong relationships. Develop operating procedures, policies, and Professional Development Plans (PDPs) to achieve financial targets, KPIs, and contractual metrics. Provide consistent leadership and coordinate with Operations Managers and other functional areas to optimize production, staffing, vehicle utilization, and material handling equipment. Manage daily logistics operations, delivery volumes, vendors, and logistics technicians while ensuring safe and efficient warehouse performance. Monitor operational reporting, develop staff in logistics, customer service, regulatory compliance, and operations, and drive monthly, quarterly, and annual process improvements.
