Job Description:
SCI , the Leader in Real Estate Executive Search®, has been retained by a Miami-based affordable housing investment and development firm to recruit a VP of Development
  • a role that carries full ownership of 4% LIHTC rehab deals from structuring, application, closing, development execution, construction, and conversion to permanent financing.
Our client is an entrepreneurial developer, with a history of transacting in 13 states and developing 12,000 units . Role based in Miami office 3 days/wk. Reporting directly to leadership, you'll run your own deals end to end as an individual contributor
  • the driving force behind each transaction, and the primary point of contact for lenders, syndicators, housing finance agencies, general contractors, and property management.
Responsibilities:
4% LIHTC transactions across the full development life cycle
  • bid and RFP/RFA response, underwriting support, acquisition, closing, construction, and stabilization Bid packages and agency applications
  • project narratives, development budgets, schedules, and RFA materials Tax-exempt bond and 4% credit execution
  • allocation, carryover, placed-in-service, cost certification, and Form 8609 Schedules and budgets through construction and lease-up, and the full conversion to permanent financing
Experience:
affordable housing development execution, with direct 4% LIHTC and tax-exempt bond experience A track record managing transactions from bidding through acquisition and conversion Working command of the affordable housing capital stack and fluency reading development budgets, sources-and-uses, and operating pro formas
Bonus:
HUD/RAD or Section 8 experience, Florida Housing Finance Corporation familiarity, and professional Spanish
