POSITION SUMMARY
Gift Officer opportunity who will advance the mission of Trinity Health SEMI (TH SEMI) by creating, implementing, and managing effective strategies to build meaningful relationships with prospects and donors to raise philanthropic funds in support of Trinity Health's mission. This position requires a significant level of personal involvement and commitment to establishing and maintaining professional relationships with the Health System's major donors, grateful patients, and closest friends. Emphasis will be given to strategies of cultivation and solicitation of leadership annual and major gifts designed to support Health System initiatives. Full-Time benefited position assigned to support Trinity Health Ann Arbor or Trinity Health Livonia. Hybrid opportunity must be able to be present at the regional office in Ann Arbor and at the assigned RHM as needed.
MINIUMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Experience:
Three or more years of experience in development
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Coverage:
Serve as a regional gift officer for an assigned Regional Health Ministry (RHM), and/or for a geographic region, as assigned.
Portfolio Management:
Manage a portfolio of prospects and donors; develop personalized strategies that encompass all activities related to the identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of donors and their investment in TH SEMI ministries.
Strategic Engagement:
Serve as lead philanthropy resource for RHM board, leaders, colleagues, patients, and their families, and the community; actively participate in meetings, programs, and events to define and implement philanthropy's strategic direction.
Internal Relationships:
Build trusted relationships with internal senior leaders, directors, service line leaders, and other colleagues to identify and implement strategies to support donor engagement.
Donor Engagement:
In consultation with the Regional Vice President of Philanthropy and/or regional gift officers, engage TH SEMI constituents to provide relevant opportunities for meaningful involvement.
Organization and Community Alignment:
Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the RHM and the community it serves and relevant RHM/regional projects and programs to align donor interests with RHM priorities.
Department Collaboration:
Collaborate with communications and donor experience colleagues to create and implement strategies to engage prospects and donors and ensure donors are appropriately stewarded.
Grants Partnership:
Partner with grants colleagues to initiate and foster connections with RHM leaders for the purpose of aligning grant funding opportunities with RHM needs and priorities.
Donor Communications Development:
Create written proposals, illustrations, gift agreements, renewal letters, and other donor communications to support the entire prospect and donor philanthropy experience.
Donor Support:
Assist donors with hospital-related business, such as scheduling physician appointments, providing resources and options related to physician specialists, and assistance navigating hospital programs.
