Sherwin-Williams is seeking an Assistant Manager Trainee for our floorcovering business. In this role, you'll learn to lead store operations, drive sales, and support commercial and retail customers with high-performance coatings and flooring solutions. You'll assist with staff supervision, inventory, merchandising, safety and service standards while receiving structured training and mentorship. This program prepares you for advancement into assistant manager and store leadership roles within our global manufacturing and distribution network. Responsibilities Support daily store and floorcovering operations to meet sales and service goals Assist in supervising, training, and scheduling team members Maintain accurate inventory, ordering, and merchandising of floorcovering products Provide technical product guidance and solutions to commercial and retail customers Ensure store safety, housekeeping, and compliance with company standards Analyze sales trends and assist in executing local sales and marketing initiatives Help manage pricing, quotes, and customer accounts in coordination with leadership Participate in management training, coaching, and performance feedback processes Collaborate with manufacturing, distribution, and sales teams to meet customer deadlines Support continuous improvement in processes, customer satisfaction, and profitability Required Skills Retail or wholesale operations Floorcovering or building materials knowledge Inventory management Point-of-sale (POS) and order entry systems Basic data analysis and reporting Customer relationship management Sales and upselling techniques Safety and OSHA awareness Team leadership and coaching Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
