Job Description
Cooper Farms is a family-owned farm and food company based in Northwest Ohio for over 85 years. A commitment to teamwork and quality has made us one of the top turkey, hog and egg companies in the U.S. and awarded the company and its team an excellent reputation. Our Oakwood Division in Paulding County, Ohio, breeds hogs and turkeys while providing the best care to our animals in a small team setting. Cooper Farms is currently seeking a Breeder Farm Manager Trainee to join our team in Oakwood. The primary goal of this position is to assist and oversee all daily activities of the farm to produce the highest quality, disease free turkey hatching eggs at the least possible cost while maintaining a safe and productive work area which promotes personal growth.
SHIFT HOURS
Schedule will vary dependent upon farm needs; at times evening/weekend work will be required.STARTING HOURLY RATE
From $20.20 with a potential increase at 90 days.ADDITIONAL PAY
Monthly and year-end profit-sharing bonuses (dependent upon company performance)Job Functions:
Ensure strict adherence to biosecurity and safety protocols, continuously seeking improvements to maintain a safe and productive work environment Supervise and support daily farm operations, including scheduling, training, and leading team members to achieve production goals Oversee animal care and welfare, ensuring all staff apply best practices in turkey husbandry and flock health management Manage all aspects of egg production, artificial insemination, and hatchability to meet or exceed company targets for quality and efficiency Monitor and control operational costs, facility maintenance, and equipment upkeep to ensure optimal performance and appearance Maintain accurate records and reports related to flock performance, feed and water consumption, and team member activities Foster a positive team culture by promoting strong communication, continuous learning, and the values of Cooper FarmsSimilar jobs in Oakwood, OH
