GRANT DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR
Tuition-Service Partnership Warrior Temple Island University Fort Lauderdale, Florida Warrior Temple Island University is seeking a strong writer, researcher, and highly organized professional to serve as our Grant Development Coordinator through an ongoing part-time Tuition-Service Partnership. Warrior Temple Island University helps children and adults build confidence, discipline, self-trust, safety awareness, leadership, and wise decision-making under pressure — even when no one is watching. The Grant Development Coordinator helps build the funding pipeline that can expand that work. This person will identify qualified funding opportunities, organize required information, prepare strong applications, maintain critical deadlines, and help connect the Temple's real work, measurable outcomes, and future vision with funders whose priorities genuinely align with our mission. This is not simply about "finding grants." It is about helping build the financial infrastructure that allows meaningful programs to reach more children, families, and communities — without compromising the integrity of the mission.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Research grants aligned with youth and adult leadership development, education, safety, wellness, violence prevention, and community advancement. Review eligibility requirements and recommend qualified funding opportunities for consideration. Maintain an organized grant calendar containing deadlines, requirements, submission dates, decisions, and reporting obligations. Prepare letters of inquiry, application drafts, program summaries, organizational narratives, and supporting materials. Gather approved documents, outcomes, budgets, biographies, statistics, and program information required for submissions. Coordinate with the Program Director to ensure applications accurately represent the Temple's capacity, mission, programs, and intended use of funds. Maintain a reusable library of approved grant language, supporting documents, program data, and prior submissions. Track submitted applications and support required reporting when funding is awarded. The Grant Development Coordinator will not independently submit applications, sign certifications, establish budgets, promise outcomes, accept funding conditions, release confidential information, or financially obligate Warrior Temple Island University. All final applications, budgets, representations, commitments, and submissions require approval from the Program Director.
The responsibility is clear:
Research. Qualify. Prepare. Organize. Track.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The right person will demonstrate: Strong professional writing ability Excellent research skills Organization and attention to detail Accuracy and persistence Respect for deadlines Professional discretion and confidentiality The ability to communicate complex information clearly and persuasively Experience in grant writing, nonprofit work, fundraising, education, business writing, research, project coordination, or administrative documentation is strongly preferred. The selected person should also be comfortable using online research tools, shared documents, spreadsheets, calendars, and application portals. Writing samples may be required. References and background screening are required. This opportunity is open to qualified adults seeking a meaningful service partnership with Warrior Temple Island University, including parents and guardians of eligible youth.
SCHEDULE & WORK STRUCTURE
This position offers flexible weekly work hours and requires primarily independent work rather than consistent front-desk hours. Availability may occasionally be required near submission deadlines or for scheduled planning meetings. The selected partner must meet agreed deadlines, maintain accurate records, protect confidential information, use only approved facts and figures, and communicate promptly when documents, information, or decisions are needed.
Location:
Warrior Temple Island University Fort Lauderdale, Florida
THE PARTNERSHIP EXCHANGE
This is an ongoing Tuition-Service Partnership, not a traditional salaried employment position. In exchange for dependable service, the selected partner may receive an approved Warrior Temple Island University tuition-service pathway for themselves or enrollment for one eligible child. For an eligible warrior enrolled in the Young & Fearless Leadership Academy™, the pathway may include: Young & Fearless Confidence Starter System™ 6 weeks — valued at $897 Young & Fearless Self-Trust Builder™ 3 months — valued at $2,997 Young & Fearless Leadership Academy™ Ongoing participation — valued at $697 per month while the partnership remains active and in good standing. Approved tuition and registration fees are waived while the partnership remains active and in good standing. The participant or family remains responsible for required apparel, equipment, event fees, travel expenses, and other applicable costs. Final responsibilities, schedule, expectations, training or child-enrollment terms, and conditions of the exchange will be documented in a written Tuition-Service Partnership Agreement.
THE TRUST OF THE POSITION
The Grant Development Coordinator carries the institution's story into rooms the Temple may never enter personally. That carries weight. Every claim must be truthful. Every number must be defensible. Every application must preserve the dignity, credibility, and independence of the institution. We are not looking for someone who will simply chase money. We are looking for someone capable of identifying the right opportunities, from the right partners, for the right reasons — and presenting our work with clarity, discipline, and integrity. This position is an amānah — a trust — and it must be carried with excellence. As the Qur'an teaches: "Indeed, the best one you can hire is the strong and the trustworthy." — Qur'an 28:26 If your writing, research ability, discipline, and character align with what we are building, we welcome you to apply.
