Minimum of $28.54 per hour, depending upon education and experience, GJ
POSITION PURPOSE
Prepare and submit external invoices, financial reports and document cost share per award terms and conditions. Complete reports and ad-hoc requests from internal and external customers. Reviews expenditures for adherence to Federal regulations, agency requirements and University policies. Provide leadership and training to post-award Grant Specialist for billings, cost share, and financial reporting. Provide Grant Accounting training to departmental administrative staff. SD Mines Financial Point of Contact to Funding agencies regarding Expenditures, Billing, Forecasts and Cost Share. Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of:
generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), practices and standards; generally accepted auditing standards (GAAS).
Ability to:
interpret, comprehend and apply laws, rules and regulations for a variety of funding agencies and the State of SD; research, compile and analyze data, providing high level of accuracy with attention to detail; establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships, interacting in a supportive manner with students, faculty, staff and outside agencies; communicate information clearly, concisely and accurately to others both in oral and written form, expressing ideas in a manner that the user can understand, exercising tact, patience and professional demeanor; handle multiple tasks, prioritize accordingly and meet strict deadlines; use a computer; provide outstanding customer service.
