Inventory Control Associate Pay:
$18.00 per hour
Job Type:
Full-time Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-4:00
PM Overtime:
Available after regular shift and some Saturdays Job Summary We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Inventory Control Associate to join our inventory team. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys staying active, working with a team, and making sure inventory is accurate and organized. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. Experience with inventory, warehouse operations, scanners, forklifts, or material handling is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person. Responsibilities Perform cycle counts and physical inventory counts to maintain accurate inventory records. Locate and track down parts needed by production. Check hold locations throughout the facility for accuracy and organization. Use hand scanners to move product in the inventory system from holding locations to production groups. Match part numbers and descriptions to ensure the correct materials are being pulled. Update quantities and hold locations in the computer system. Assign new hold locations when receiving materials. Use scales to accurately count inventory when appropriate. Operate a cherry picker, forklift, or other designated material-handling equipment. Learn to operate equipment safely if you do not have previous experience. Work closely with other inventory and production team members to accomplish daily tasks. Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a consistent level of productivity. Follow established safety, inventory, and material-handling procedures. Maintain a clean and organized work area. As you gain experience, you may have the opportunity to train on receiving materials and storing materials in designated hold locations . Qualifications Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Comfortable working with numbers, counting, and basic math. Ability to accurately match part numbers, descriptions, and quantities. Ability to learn and use computer-based inventory systems and hand scanners. Ability to work independently and stay productive with minimal supervision. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Positive attitude and willingness to learn. Previous warehouse, inventory, manufacturing, or material-handling experience is a plus. Forklift or cherry picker experience is a plus, but not required. Must be able to stand and walk for most of the workday. Must be able to walk up and down stairs throughout the workday. Must be comfortable working throughout a manufacturing/plant environment.
