Job Description

Position Summary:
The Cherry Picker Associate is responsible for operating battery-powered lift equipment in a safe and efficient manner; along with handheld scanning devices to manage placement of inventory within a warehouse environment.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
(Additional duties may be assigned) Operates a variety of battery powered lift equipment to receive, put away, replenish, load inventory within a distribution warehouse, and pick orders. Assist with physical inventory to maintain accuracy of product in warehouse. Provide routine general maintenance on lift equipment: nightly charging of unit batteries, watering, checking for wear, and requesting service on inoperable equipment.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED Forklift License 1-3 years Reach truck experience preferred 1-3 years Counterbalance fork truck operator experience preferred 3-5 years Warehouse Operations experience preferred
Special Requirements:
Occasional weekend work as required to meet business needs.

Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and changing environment with a focus on meeting deadlines. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to read and interpret paperwork. Maintain consistent, dependable attendance. Basic personal computer skills that include the ability to send/receive email messages, post information to a database or spreadsheet, and perform basic word processing, bookkeeping, and/or data entry.

Microsoft Outlook/Express, Microsoft Word, RF Smart, NetSuite Physical and Mental Requirements:
Ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, reach, push, pull, crouch, kneel, bend, climb, use fingers to grasp, handle, feel, and perform repetitive motions of hands or wrists. Close mental and visual attention to prepare and analyze data and figures, work on a computer, read, or control machines or processes at a rapid pace that requires close coordination and fine adjustment.
Environmental Conditions:
Work is performed in a warehouse environment with exposure to temperature changes and noise.
