Duties Stock shelves, displays, and storage areas with merchandise, ensuring products are neatly arranged and accessible for customers. Use RF scanners to accurately track inventory levels, update stock records, and facilitate efficient shipping and receiving processes. Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts safely to load, unload, and move heavy or bulky items within the warehouse or retail space. Manage inventory control by conducting regular stock counts, identifying discrepancies, and reporting shortages or overages. Assist in packaging products for shipment or sale while maintaining quality standards and proper labeling. Support shipping & receiving activities by verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders and preparing outgoing deliveries. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace, including cleaning shelves, storage areas, and common spaces to ensure safety and hygiene standards are met. Provide excellent customer service by assisting shoppers with product locations, answering questions in multiple languages if applicable, and supporting retail sales efforts. Perform cashiering duties when needed, including processing transactions accurately using retail math skills. Support produce sections or grocery areas by stocking fresh items, rotating stock for freshness, and ensuring proper packaging. Collaborate with team members on merchandising strategies to optimize product presentation and promotional displays. Follow safety protocols during heavy lifting tasks and when operating equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks to prevent accidents. Assist with maintenance tasks like replacing signage, fixing shelving units, or addressing minor store repairs as needed. Skills Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail for inventory management and stock accuracy. Proficiency in using RF scanners for inventory tracking and data entry processes. Experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklift trucks and pallet jacks safely. Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases. Knowledge of retail math principles for cashiering and sales transactions. Familiarity with grocery store operations including stocking produce, packaging goods, shipping & receiving procedures. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper body mechanics during stocking or unloading tasks. Strong customer service orientation with the ability to assist shoppers effectively in person or via phone. Good organizational skills for maintaining a clean, safe work environment consistent with health standards.
