Job Description
Position Summary The Production & Inventory Specialist is responsible for managing inbound & outbound materials, maintaining inventory accuracy, processing, and monitoring customer orders, coordinating production requirements, and ensuring the efficient flow of materials and finished goods throughout the operation. Key Responsibilities Manage inbound and outbound shipments, receiving activities, and material transactions. Maintain accurate inventory records and perform cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy. Process, monitor, and track customer orders from receipt through fulfillment. Coordinate material availability and inventory levels to support production schedules. Collaborate with warehouse, production, procurement, and customer service teams to ensure operational efficiency. Monitor inventory levels and proactively identify potential shortages or excess inventory. Support on-time order fulfillment and customer delivery requirements. Generate and analyze inventory, order status, and production reports. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and material-related issues. Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently, as required. Assist in continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory control, warehousing, and production processes. Qualifications 3+ years of experience in inventory management, production planning, warehouse operations, or supply chain. Experience working with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, or similar). Forklift certification and/or experience operating material handling equipment preferred. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory management software. Experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or logistics environment preferred.
