Provides comprehensive inventory control for assigned departments.

PRINCIPAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Commits to the mission, vision, beliefs and consistently demonstrates our core values. Initiates requisitions for supplies on a daily basis. Adjusts supply/order levels based on usage. Verifies, orders and signs for incoming supplies. Completes documentation for item additions, changes, and deletions to the inventory system. Investigates back orders and stock outs and takes appropriate steps to maintain a high fill rate. Coordinates and conducts spot counts, cycle counts and physical inventory. Monitors outdates, stock rotation and preventative maintenance dates on equipment. Cooperates with all levels of personnel, auxiliary, and ancillary departments to promote customer service and optimum efficiency. Participates in and maintains competencies for the position; attends staff meetings regularly. Verifies all issues and enters necessary corrections to insure accuracy of monthly reports. Monitors inventory variances and enters corrections to insure inventory accuracy. Adheres to safety and security procedures to promote a safe and secure environment. Insures items are labeled and/or packaged correctly and kits are assembled and available. Prepares and enters all special/custom patient charges and verifies rental billings. Enters restricted access areas, without supervision, to perform assigned work. Completes patient charge entry Monitor point of use system, resolve issues, install new products, Coordinate product recalls Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise. Participates in meetings, committees and department projects as assigned. Performs other related projects and duties as assigned. (Essential Job functions are marked with an asterisk "•". REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Knowledge of computer hardware equipment and software applications relevant to work functions. Knowledge of general inventory control principles. Knowledge of general accounting principles. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Ability to perform crucial conversations with desired outcomes. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of personnel and medical staff. Ability to problem solve and engage independent critical thinking skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality relevant to sensitive information. Ability to comprehend and utilize medical terminology. Ability to prioritize work demands and work with minimal supervision. Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalency required. Additional education related to work area assignment preferred. Prior inventory work experience in a health care environment desired.

OTHER CREDENTIALS / CERTIFICATIONS

Valid State of Nebraska driver's license required to travel between facility sites when necessary. Verification and maintenance of responsible driving record per facility standards required.
