Job Description

Qualification Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience and/or education related to purchasing, inventory management and medical supplies preferred. Strong verbal/written communication skills and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and within an interdisciplinary team. Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to work under pressure and meet multiple deadlines. Must be a licensed driver with an automobile in good working condition and is insured in accordance with state and agency requirements. Understands and is committed to the hospice philosophy. Physical Requirements Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Must be able to push/pull, lift and or move up to 50 lbs. Must be able to stoop, bend, reach, grasp and walk frequently throughout the work day. Essential Job Responsibilities Receives incoming medical supply orders; verifies completeness of orders and distributes to appropriate feeder areas. Stocks Inpatient and Homecare supply areas in all locations and pays close attention to pay levels and usage Prepares and delivers supplies to other areas of HNO as directed by supervisor. Develops knowledge of products directly and through supervisor and clinical staff. Acts as a resource for information on products and suppliers. Maintains organization and cleanliness of all inventory areas. Works with Supply Coordinator to count and track inventory and adjust par levels as usage fluctuates. Communicates with Clinical Supply Coordinator regarding purchasing and inventory issues. Performs duties of Clinical Supply Coordinator during any absences. Responsible for learning and utilizing technology made available by the agency to increase efficiency, communication and performance of duties. Attends staff meetings and completes all mandatory training. Holds in strictest confidence all patient information and discloses information and data only to persons authorized by Hospice.
