Full-Time Inventory Specialist East River Farms Sioux Falls, SD Job Details Full-time $18 - $20 an hour 3 days ago Benefits Employee discount Qualifications Basic math Records management Attention to detail Warehouse experience Time management Full Job Description Full-Time Inventory Specialist Overview East River Farms is looking for a dependable, highly organized, and detail-oriented individual to join our team in a Full-Time Inventory Specialist position. The Inventory Specialist plays an important role in maintaining accurate product inventory, receiving and processing products, monitoring stock levels, and ensuring inventory records remain compliant with South Dakota medical cannabis regulations. The ideal candidate is organized, comfortable working with numbers and computer systems, able to identify and resolve discrepancies, and capable of working independently while communicating effectively with management and the rest of the East River Farms team. Accuracy, accountability, and attention to detail are essential for this position. Responsibilities Receive incoming product deliveries and verify products against invoices, manifests, and purchase orders. Accurately enter, receive, and maintain inventory within METRC and applicable inventory/POS systems . Verify product quantities, weights, labels, testing information, package information, and other required documentation. Perform routine inventory counts, cycle counts, and full inventory audits. Compare physical inventory against system inventory and investigate discrepancies. Report inventory discrepancies, damaged products, labeling issues, or compliance concerns to management. Assist with correcting inventory discrepancies and maintaining accurate records. Monitor inventory levels and identify products that are low in stock, overstocked, or moving slowly. Organize inventory areas so products can be easily located, counted, and tracked. Maintain proper product rotation and assist with monitoring product expiration dates when applicable. Prepare and organize products for the sales floor and ensure inventory is properly transferred and accounted for. Maintain accurate records of product adjustments, transfers, returns, and other inventory activity. Assist management with inventory reporting and product-related documentation. Maintain organized invoices, manifests, testing documentation, and other required inventory records. Follow all East River Farms inventory procedures and South Dakota medical cannabis regulations. Maintain a clean, secure, and organized inventory workspace. Communicate inventory issues and product needs clearly with management and staff. Assist with general store operations when needed. Work collaboratively with the East River Farms team to maintain accurate and compliant inventory. Qualifications Previous inventory, warehouse, retail inventory, receiving, or related experience preferred. Cannabis industry experience and familiarity with METRC are strongly preferred but not required. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Comfortable working with computers, spreadsheets, inventory systems, and basic mathematics. Ability to identify discrepancies and investigate problems thoroughly. Dependable and capable of completing assigned responsibilities with limited supervision. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Professional, responsible, and committed to following established procedures. Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team. Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive business information. Must meet all requirements to work within a licensed South Dakota medical cannabis establishment.
