Summary:

The Delivery Driver Helper helps with the loading, routing and unloading of appliances and/or building materials that are being delivered to our customers.

Job Duties:

Following the best practices for safety, both on the road and while loading and unloading a truck Communicating with dispatchers, drivers and other team members to make deliveries Meeting delivery deadlines Performing basic truck maintenance Loading and unloading product Tracking shipments and deliveries Obtaining customer signatures Taking pictures of delivery sites Back up duties for others Perform other duties as requested Job Qualifications Knowledge of how to handle materials safely Familiarity with the navigation systems Time management to ensure deliveries are made on schedule Excellent vision and hand-eye coordination to stay safe while driving Physical ability to load and unload heavy cargo Engaging in safe work practices and encouraging others to do the same using PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) including gloves, glasses, back belts and seat belts on forklifts This position will require morning, afternoon and evening availability any day of the week based on business needs. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 80lbs Stand or sit for long periods Must be able to bend and lift over your head
