Position Overview:

The Quality Control Inspector at Power Technology, Inc.—a trusted, American-made laser technology leader—is the final line of defense ensuring every OEM laser module meets our hallmark standards of precision, reliability, and performance. This position will conduct comprehensive, 100% inspections—measuring output power, beam size, focus, and more—confirming each product aligns with its Build Specification and embodies Power Technology's legacy of excellence in scientific, industrial, biomedical, and defense laser solutions.

Your Key Responsibilities:

Perform detailed inspection and testing of laser products to verify compliance with Build Specifications and quality standards. Measure and record key performance parameters, including: Optical output power Beam size, focus, and divergence Wavelength and alignment (if applicable) Ensure proper operation and functionality of each laser module. Accurately document inspection results, test data, and any non-conformances. Identify, segregate, and report defective or nonconforming products to Quality/Production leadership. Work closely with Production and Engineering teams to provide feedback on quality issues and assist with root cause analysis when required. Maintain calibration and proper use of test equipment, meters, and optical measurement tools. Follow company quality procedures, safety guidelines, and

ISO 9001

requirements. Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and testing efficiency. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree in optics, electronics, or a related field preferred. Experience in a manufacturing or QC environment (optics, electronics, or laser systems strongly preferred). Familiarity with optical measurement tools and electronic test equipment (strong preference). Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and documentation skills. Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, drawings, and procedures. Basic computer skills for data entry and report generation. Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Physical & Work Environment Requirements Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while performing inspections. Comfortable working in a laboratory or production environment (appropriate PPE provided). Manual dexterity for handling small components and test equipment.
