Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Boat Detailer to join our team. This position focuses primarily on restoring and protecting boat finishes through professional buffing, polishing, and waxing of hulls. The ideal candidate takes pride in producing showroom-quality results and has an eye for detail. Experience is preferred (marine or auto industry), but we are willing to train someone with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn. Wage commensurate with experience.
Qualifications:
(Preferred) Previous marine/automotive detailing or fiberglass finishing experience Familiarity with gelcoat restoration, wet sanding and/or minor cosmetic repairs is a plus Ability to work independently while managing time efficiently Ability to follow specific instructions and procedures to promote a safe work environment Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Reliable, dependable, and able to work in varying weather conditions. Knowledge of marine cleaning products. Comfortable climbing ladders, working on staging, and painting under boats. Valid Massachusetts Driver's License.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Buff, compound, polish and wax fiberglass hulls and gelcoat surfaces Remove oxidation, water stains and surface imperfections to restore high-gloss finishes Clean and prepare boats before and after detailing Inspect boats for defects and communicate to supervisors Properly maintain buffers, polishers and detailing equipment Work safely arund boats, trailers, lifts and marina equipment Assist other service departments when workload requires
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, bend, kneel and climb ladders throughout the day Lift and carry up to 50 lbs Comfortable working indoors and outdoors Ability to safely operate power tools and detailing equipment Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
