Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and dependable Shop Laborer to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting the production process by performing manual tasks, operating basic tools and equipment, and assisting with assembly and material handling. Your energetic approach and attention to safety will ensure smooth operations within our manufacturing facility. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop hands-on skills in a dynamic environment dedicated to continuous improvement and quality. Responsibilities Assist with the setup, operation, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment, including forklifts and power tools Support assembly line activities by handling materials, parts, and components with manual handling techniques Use measuring instruments and interpret technical drawings to ensure precise assembly and production standards Conduct heavy lifting tasks safely while adhering to safety protocols and standards in production environments Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop floor, ensuring tools and materials are stored properly Follow manufacturing processes, documentation, and safety procedures diligently to uphold quality standards Support process improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies and assisting with implementation efforts Skills Proven experience operating forklifts and familiarity with factory or manufacturing environments Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments accurately Experience interpreting technical drawings and production documents for assembly tasks Knowledge of safety standards in production settings, including lean manufacturing principles and safety protocol adherence Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining manual handling best practices Mechanical assembly skills combined with technical proficiency in managing assembly line operations Effective communication skills for managing production or assembly teams and supporting process improvements Join us as a Shop Laborer where your energy, technical skills, and commitment to safety will contribute directly to our manufacturing success.
